Project Samples Architecture-Photogrammetry: Alte Nationalgalerie

Real scale facade plans are required for a variety of different purposes. For example, in order to consider new cornices and windows of an existing neighboring building into planning specifications. Often, facade plans also serve as a basic for damage mapping, such as with the case of the Alte Nationalgalerie (Old National Gallery). By using a survey instrument and a lifting platform, images of the surface were taken and mapped for a total of 5000 square meters. The ground control point determination was made by geodetic methods with spatial intersection.

The stereo interpretation was performed with an analytic Stereo-Plotter. Subsequently, the results were processed in a CAD system. Thus, both plots and digital vector data (original scale 1:50 and 1:25) were given to the client for further processing.
